Why Study Math With Sam?
Math can be very confusing and difficult and there is no doubt that it requires a kind of work to make sense of and become comfortable with its language.
A combination of understanding the content and rehearsing the appropriate steps with guidance can seriously optimize the learning potential and inherent curiosity of the student.
Sam has varied experience including teaching college level courses, independent tutoring, and outdoor education. He has exhibited his art work in New York City and is first author on a biomedical engineering paper he wrote while working in a physics lab in CUNY. He has also published a book of drawings.
He is passionate about and has experience working with the neuro-diverse community.
Sam's Methodology
Sam takes teaching very seriously.
His goal in addition to providing answers to difficult problems, is to provide appropriate skills for the student to learn and excel independently within a fun and creative learning environment.
With this in mind he requires access to the class syllabi, course materials such as textbook, and current/ recent tests and home works.
With these materials he can provide a holistic approach to learning success.
