Below is a link to the basic materials I suggest for the class. There is no requirement to purchase the supplies from this link. It is simply a convenient way to list the materials and a possible convenient single click purchase.

The classes are flexible and if you have other materials you can use those as well.
​
The most important material on the list of the Golden Open Acrylic paint. This particular brand and style allow for the optimum experience of learning a "wet on wet" style.
If you do not purchase this paint you can add retarder to your acrylic paint to give it the same feel. But this is an extra step I find can get in the way of an easy beginning learning process.

Tape (Blue Painter Tape is good)

A board or back of a sketchbook or something to tape your canvas paper to.

A way to lean your painting against something so that it is more vertical than horizontal. This way you will not get neck discomfort. This can be a stand up easel or a table easel or a big heavy rock or gallon of water etc.

Paper towels or rags.

A plastic bag to place your palette inside of when you are not painting.

Scissors

Some scrap paper or a sketchbook.

***A note on the spray bottle in the purchase list : With acrylic paint we mist the paint to keep it moist. Not all spray nozzles are made the same. I suggest the one in Purchase List because it has a fine mist unlike many kitchen style spray bottles.
